Give to the wat
Help build the ordination hall
Every gift supports the monks, keeps the wat open every day and brings the new ordination hall closer to completion.

Every gift becomes part of the hall
The hall’s foundation stone was laid in 2012, and it has risen gift by gift ever since. Many give just a dollar a day, so every amount counts.

Why an ordination hall matters
The ubosot, or ordination hall, is the most sacred building of a Theravada temple. It is where monks hold their formal acts, such as ordinations, the fortnightly recitation of the monastic rules and the Kathina ceremony, and where the wat’s principal Buddha image is enshrined.
Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep USA does not yet have an ordination hall of its own; it uses a 60 × 100 ft hall that was once a church. The new ubosot will let Thai families in Southern California hold ordinations and major ceremonies at their own wat.
