Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep USA invites you and your family to the Kathin robe offering ceremony on Sunday, November 22, 2026, at the temple in Chino Hills, California.
Together in faith, united in generosity. Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep USA warmly invites you and your family to our Kathin (Kathina) Robe Offering Ceremony on Sunday, November 22, 2026, at the temple on Chino Hills Parkway in Chino Hills, California.
Kathin is held once a year, in the month after the monks complete the three-month rains retreat (Vassa). The lay community offers new robes and requisites to the Sangha who stayed at the wat through the retreat. It is one of the most meaningful merit-making days of the Thai Buddhist year, and a day when Thai families across Southern California come together.
This year’s honorary chairpersons are Mrs. Ampa Sornkaew of Renu Nakhon Restaurant and Mrs. Thitirat Chalumasjaruadom of Dham Dee Group.
You are invited to make merit by sponsoring the ceremony: Co-Chairperson $1,000, Vice Chairperson $500, or Committee Member $100. Gifts of any amount are welcome.
Ways to give: a check or money order payable to “Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep USA”, Zelle to watchino18@gmail.com, or Venmo @watchio-usa. Please write “Kathin 2026” in the memo. Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; ask for a receipt for your tax records.
For sponsorship arrangements or questions, please contact the temple at (909) 606-9502 or watchino18@gmail.com. Everyone is welcome; Thai and English are spoken at the wat.
